How can I get proof of my No Claim Discount?

If your policy is due for renewal, the renewal quotation letter should count as evidence of your no claim discount (NCD) for your next insurance provider.

If you have to cancel your policy and have been insured with us for more than a year, we’ll include proof of NCD ourselves, if possible, with your cancellation letter. If you would prefer this done via email, please contact your broker.

If you have already cancelled your policy and no longer have access to your documents, please contact your broker.

How do I change my vehicle?

It is quick and easy to change your vehicle with Five Islands insurance. Please contact your broker to arrange the change.

Make sure you have all the details about the vehicle on hand (including the registration number) so we can give you a quote to change your vehicle.

There may be a change in premium depending upon certain underwriting criteria. In some instances, it may even result in a refund!

If at all possible, please notify your broker at renewal if you are planning to change your vehicle.

How do I add a driver?

It is quick and easy to add a driver to your policy, please contact your broker with the required information:.

We will need some information about the new driver (including D.O.B., driving history, claims information, etc) in order for us to give you a quote.

There may be a change in premium depending upon certain underwriting criteria.

If at all possible, please tell contact your broker at renewal if you plan to add an additional driver to your policy.

Do I need a WID for my car?

Yes, all vehicles within the Channel Islands require a WID.

We make sure to send out WIDs with each new policy and renewal.

Do you charge an admin fee to make a change?

Yes, we charge a standard £25 administration fee on policies, such as new business, renewals, cancellations, and for adding vehicles and drivers.

However, we do not charge for a change of registration number.

Where can I find my policy number?

Your policy number can always be found on your WID.

We also include your policy number on all policy documentation that we send to you.

How do I renew my policy?

When it’s time to renew your policy, we make sure to send out renewal documentation up to 4 weeks before the actual renewal date. (Timeframes may differ slightly depending on the insurance product!)

How do I make a claim?
